Where is the Silfra meeting point?
It depends on the operator: most are near the Silfra car park, and you park at P5.

At P5, about a 5-minute walk from the meeting point.
Not beside Silfra
Dive.is says the Silfra car park is for commercial vehicles.
The fee
1,000 ISK for a car with five seats or fewer, 1,200 ISK for six to nine seats. Troll, Dive.is and Diving Island list it as not included.
Paying
Dive.is says cameras read license plates, and that you pay online or at the Visitor Centre.
How far is Silfra from Reykjavik?
About 60 km, a little under an hour by car in good conditions.
If you drive, leave time to park and walk: Arctic Adventures wants you there 15 minutes early. Dive.is warns that the turn onto road 36 can feel like driving into nowhere, and says to keep going.
Without a car, 2 tours include the return trip, from €181, and Arctic Adventures and Dive.is sell pickup as an option. With pickup, Arctic Adventures' tour takes 3 to 5.5 hours in all.

Can you drive to Silfra yourself?
Yes: tours at Silfra expect that. You park at P5 and walk.
Where do you change?
It depends on the operator. Dive.is lists a heated van, Diving Island says you change indoors, and Troll says you change outdoors.
Is there somewhere to eat?
Dive.is says the nearest restaurant is at the park's Information Centre, 3.5 km away.
How early should you arrive?
Arctic Adventures asks for 15 minutes before the start. Allow the walk from P5 as well.
